Monday morning my Dad took me to the ER due to massive swelling in the abdomen; I could barely walk or breath, LOTS of pain, massive swelling, felt like my organs were going to explode. They ran several tests and determined that my spleen and liver were massively swollen. My liquid monster issue had overrun my body again. I take diuretics at home, but apparently the dosage stopped working or getting through, I blew up again and overloaded my organs. Plus, I have been majorly fatigued these last few weeks; my iron levels had dropped below the danger level. They checked me in, set me up on an IV for diuretics, and then later a blood transfusion. I felt better automatically when receiving the blood; energy back! I spent Monday, Tuesday and most of Wednesday at the hospital. They let me check out Wednesday night. I've adjusted my at home meds, and have a check up in a week. I feel soooo much better! I think I dropped about 20 lbs, and though my organs are still swollen, I'm working on that.
So what happens now? Right before this, I had built a plan I called my "Liquid Love Feast". I realized my body was spending too much time on digestion, and my diet had slipped. I hate juicing, the process not the actual juice, so I looked into some programs including the Blue Print Cleanse, which was just too expensive. So I came up with a new solution. There is a shop called Coffee Girls less than five minutes from my house that makes fresh juice. They come in 20oz, and they have 8 different varieties. From my research, if you go on a juice feast, drinking 64-80 oz of juice daily is ideal. So I plan on getting 4 drinks a day. Right now we have just been running up and buying them, and of course I was in the hospital, so no real time to get started. I am going to try and work something out, maybe a delivery system with the store; fingers crossed.
In addition I'm drinking lots of coconut water and aloe beverages. Protein drinks as well. I've decided to allow certain things like light soups, applesauce, etc. However, liquid is the focus. My goal is to do 1-3 enemas daily, skin brushing, detox baths, etc. I also ordered a liver cleanse, which I'll blog about when it arrives. I really want to focus on getting healthy.
As I get stronger, yoga will also be added and a few other items as well.

10 Day Lifestyle Cleanse
My first two intentions for the year were 1) Make a Plan and Stick With It and 2) Get Physical. This included adding some positives to my day eliminating things that were unhealthy, and sticking with it! This week I'm going to do what I call a "lifestyle cleanse" a simple transitioning from what I'm doing now, to where I want to be. This will include healthy eating, detox, yoga, emotional and spiritual growth, etc.
Here's what a typical cleanse day might look light. I will of course be blogging each day to let you know how I'm doing and what I'm doing.
Morning:
Here's what a typical cleanse day might look light. I will of course be blogging each day to let you know how I'm doing and what I'm doing.
Morning:
- Start with a quart of MSM/Lemon water. This is good for cleansing the body, healing the skin, and clarity.
- Drink a glass or quart of green juice. If breakfast is needed, stick to oatmeal or raw cereals and granola. We'll be leaving out grain based cereals for this cleanse.
- Also, down a glass of Amazing Grasses supplement blend.
- Take my pills, brush teeth and FLOSS! I am terrible at this and it is incredibly important. So this is a new habit, let's see how I do.
- After my email session, do my enema. This includes a simple water enema and a coffee enema.
- Skin Brushing session with "I love My Body Exercise". My friend Andrea came up with this one and I LOVE this idea. As you do your skin brushing, tell your body "I love you toes, I love you feet, I love you ankles, legs, knees, etc." As you go over your entire body with the brush, love it.
- I will alternative between showers, and detox baths. The baths will be either epsom salt baths or oatmeal baths. They are also very relaxing.
- Before lunch, I will sit for 15 minutes, relax, and do a Meditation exercise.
Afternoon:
- A simple lunch of salad and a sweet potato or something of the sort. With my new book holder I am able to read during lunch, which, as you may recall, reading is the third item on my resolutions list.
- Throughout the afternoon and day really, it's important to drink lots of water. I will also be drinking coconut water to keep my electrolytes up. If I get snackish, than nuts, trail mix, fruit, will all be acceptable snacks. I'll also want to sneak in another green smoothie
- Two hours of writing daily is goal four, so this will definitely happen in the afternoon.
- Gentle yoga, which, depending on how I feel will depend what I do. Most likely about 20 minutes. I have a new mat and beginners DVD (Yoga for Beginners) that will guide me.
Evening:
- Dinner will be something like polenta with pesto and root vegetables, Buddha bowl, gluten free pasta, beans and rice, soups, etc.
- This will be a time for more reading, knitting, jigsaw puzzle, contacting friends etc.
- A nice glass of chocolate coconut milk should fix my sweet tooth for the evening.
- Bedtime: prayer and visualization. I will end the night with a prayer to the Universe, and as I fall asleep, talk to my body and visualize it healing.
Sounds like a lot, but this is a LIFESTYLE. What makes it a cleanse? I will be avoiding dairy, gluten, sugar during this cleanse. After this, if I choose I can always add a little of those in, but as they are really not that important, I'd rather not. This will also complete one of my 31 Things goals, do Megan Templars cleanse. I'm not following exactly, but taking pieces and incorporating into my own.
After this I will do Sarah Wilson's "I Quit Sugar" cleanse, which should be easier once I make my lifestyle change. It's an 8 week cleanse and I will definitely be doing weekly blog updates when that starts.
What are you doing to kick off you 2012 resolutions?

Have You Seen My Motivation?
This last week I've been extremely unmotivated and lazy. It's not just fatigue, it's just an innate boredom and lack of desire to do anything. I think it has to do with the detox, it makes one's brain a bit fuzzy at times. Yes, still detoxing, and really, forever detoxing I'm afraid, yet glad. Ever since starting the coffee enemas I've been doing some crazy detox. And not just the obvious kind, but apparently my lymph system is opening up, and I've been coughing up mucus like crazy. I also am expecting any day now to start coughing up pieces of flesh. Yes, gross I know, but the tumors have to get out somehow and either they push themselves out like pimples (yikes!), come out through eliminations, or you can literally cough pieces up. Hopefully, I'm eliminating some of them, but I have been coughing a lot and I do know people with tumors in similar locations have actually coughed up chunks of tumor. Freaking me out a bit, but I've been assured they will come out in manageable chunks and not choke me to death or anything.
All that aside, some of my motivation issues have been simply ridiculous. I managed to get my sheets into the basement Saturday evening to wash them, but could not find the motivation to bring them back up and put them on my bed. So, I've been sleeping in the spare bedroom, yes, for the last three nights, and possibly tonight. My Dad has agreed to put the sheets on, but his availability is up in the air right now. I just can't get motivated to do it. It took me three days to force myself to get to the grocery store, and I almost left without spinach, the most important item on my list. I'm still not sure what all I bought, but it seems to be working so far.
Fortunately today I seem to be doing a bit better. I had some queasiness this morning, but after some serious releasing, it seemed to be better. I was able to make a delicious green smoothie, finish my book, do a detox bath, and SHAVE MY LEGS!!! Yes, this is extremely exciting news. I haven't shaved in months, maybe since May, because I haven't been able to bend over like that or sit and get out of a tub. So I've been living with hairy mountain man legs, and I have to say it gets tiring after awhile. It took some effort, but I now I wonderfully smooth legs. Feels good.
And now I am heading off to my colonics appointment for more releasing. Hopefully tomorrow I will be super motivated, although I'm not sure to do what, but I'll figure that out tomorrow.

Detox: My Week of Cleansing
It's been over a week since I've posted, and that's because I'm gone through some MAJOR detoxing. This past weekend I basically peed and slept. I didn't really eat, or do anything else. The thing is, I felt just fine. I've been through fatigue phases before where it usually is not the greatest sign. But this was definitely my body going through some serious changes. I lost almost 15lbs of the water weight (woot!) and am nearing my regular weight. My tumors continue to drop, and my body is healing like no crazy.
I plan on catching up on some blogging this week and continue to focus on healing.
Things I've learned this week:
- Sleep is incredibly healing, especially with an awesome bed and cozy pillow
- I missed drinking green smoothies. Somehow I got out of the habit, probably when I was hospitalized, but I restarted this week. Peach, blueberry, spinach anyone?
- Coffee enemas are really important. My initial experience were really horrible, but after reading some tips and getting everything set up right, it went fairly smoothly this time. And while I initially didn't get a lot of releasing, that night I seriously released up a storm. This is definitely part of my daily routine now.
- Detox baths are heavenly. Lavender essential oil, don't bathe without it. So calming.
- Meditation is very healing, especially when going through emotional detox. Keep the MP3 player close at all times.
- The Vibe machine is also a great way to heal, and all you do it sit there, for six minutes, and let the energy raise your frequencies.
- It's important to also get your veggies in, but know that you can't always be perfect.
- Going out with friends is a really important part of healing. It's important to have amazing, supportive people in your life.
- Sadly, I also learned that some relationships, even with family members, are not always healthy. Sometimes we have to eliminate or at least temporarily break from these situations in order to protect ourselves and continue healing.
I plan on catching up on some blogging this week and continue to focus on healing.

Healing With Tuning Fork Sound Therapy
Last night I attended a mini-workshop on Tuning Forks put on by no other but my lovely and wonderful Mother, Rhonda. Tuning forks are a tool that allow one to "tune up" our bodies using sound frequencies. Everything is energy, and sound energy literally affects the frequency of our cells. By using tuning forks, a healer can raise the vibration of our cells to the proper place, healing imbalances in the body. For more information on Tuning Forks, click here.
A miraculous healing occurred at the end of the evening. Using two of the forks, the Genesis fork and the Shekinah fork, four people watched my tumor(s) in my neck visibly shrink, within about 15 minutes!! How amazing is that! I didn't actually see it happen (no mirror) but looked in the mirror afterwards and couldn't believe it! Half the size, at least, plus the consistency changed. The solid wall around my primary tumor is softening, breaking down. I had a lot of drainage in my throat last night, I'm guessing as the tumor drained out of the body. I did some serious detoxing today, both an enema and detox bath, and went easy with the eating, a delicious smoothie. I've had a lot of shrinkage and shifts lately, with the psychic surgery in my Reiki class, forgiveness work, Ho'oponono, etc. This however, just incredible.
I highly recommend looking into Tuning Fork Sound Therapy. You can balance your chakras, heal cancer, melt away fat cells (not even kidding), improve circulation, etc. Check out this site to purchase forks and click here to schedule a healing with my Mom. Tuning Forks can be done long distance as well, very cool.

Detox Your World
Our body takes in toxins daily, from the pesticides in our food, the chemicals in our shampoos and the air we breathe. Even if you are on a strict organic diet using only natural household products, you still have toxins. High levels of toxins affect how our body functions, creating disease, increasing parasites and nasty bacteria in our body, making us fatigued and gain weight. There are several simple, at home tools that you can add to your daily practice that will help you eliminate these toxins from your body, and make you healthier overall.
1. Skin Brushing The Skin is the largest organ in the body; a quarter of our daily elimination comes through the skin. The Lymphatic System is the one system in our body that does not have it's own "pump" to help it circulated. It can become stagnant it we do not actively move it. Skin brushing stimulates the Lymph system, moving toxins through, into the colon, releasing during urination. Skin Brushing has many great benefits including improving the elasticity of your skin, removing dead tissue that clogs pores, reducing cellulite, improving digestion, increasing the production of new cells, strengthening the immune system and improving lymph function. You can get a dry brush from most supermarkets, drug stores, Target, Whole Foods, etc. Do it before you get into the shower each day. Watch the video below to see how it's done.
2. Colon Cleansing The average person has 25lbs of feces jam packed into their colon. Yuck!! Because of all the toxins we've allowed into our bodies, the colon has become a feeding ground for parasites, who thrive on the nasty bacteria buildups. All of this nasty commotion slows down the function of the colon, which can cause toxins to leak back into the bloodstream, make it difficult for you to assimilate all the nutrients in your food, make bowel movements difficult or infrequent and cause fatigue. Finding a colonic practitioner is a great way to eliminate this buildup, and make your colon shiny and new again. Enema's are a great at home tool, however they most clean out the rectum, the last 8-12 inches of the colon. However, even doing this can help get you moving better, and eliminate the buildup in the rest of the colon. Coffee enemas also help detox the liver, pulling even more toxins from the body. I highly recommend including enemas in your detox practice. I would personally purchase the enema bucket for the easiest and cleanest process.
3. Neti Pot The neti pot is a great tool for cleaning out the sinuses. Colds, allergies, respiratory problems are very common. The sinuses fill with bacteria, mucus and other toxins. By gently washing them with saline, you can prevent sinus related sickness! Simply insert the Neti Pot gently into your nostril, tilt your head, and let the liquid slowly drain through, cleaning out the nasal passages. Repeat on the other side. You can do this as often as you like, some people do it daily, like brushing your teeth. I would recommend doing it before getting into the shower. I often find that the moisture from the shower makes me release even more mucus from my nostrils, plus I'd rather get rid of the "gunk" during my shower, than sit on the couch for 20 minutes after blowing my nose.
4. The Zapper This unique tool uses a small electronic pulse to kill parasites in your system. Yes, people, worms, creepy crawlers and all sorts of nasties are living in your body right now, feeding off your waste, eating your food before you get to properly digest it, and they can also feed off of you!! Creating healthy eating habits and detoxing regularly can eliminate or reduce parasites in your system. The Terminator Zapper is a kickass little tool that you can wear anywhere, that literally "zaps" those pesky little parasites. The first week I slept with it on the bottom of my foot every night, and wore it on various body parts while sedentary. I spent 10 days mostly sleeping and taking trips to the bathroom, no kidding!! My body went into serious detox mode, and when I came out of it I had more energy than I'd had in years.
These are just a few suggestions, that can make a HUGE difference in how your body functions. Exercise, deep breathing, Tongue Scraping, laughter, meditation, detox bath and a good nights sleep are also important in eliminating toxins from your body and keeping healthy.
